Welcome to “2 Guys and a Goalie,” starring Dustin Nielson, Joaquin Gage, and Matt Kassian and presented by Odds Shark, Popeye’s Louisiana Chicken, and Sports Clips Haircuts. The show focuses on stories, notes, transactions, and everything else happening all around the NHL and the world of hockey.
For Episode 6, Kass is away, but Dusty and Gager are joined by former Oiler Shawn Belle! They discuss Mike Smith’s performance and how his puck-handling might hurt or help the Oilers moving through the season and the Vancouver Canucks and the skill they have on their roster with Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes and the potential they have to fast-track the Canucks’ rebuild.
Gager and Belle recount some of the best chirps they heard during their playing days.
Kris Abbott joins the boys to give some of his bets for the NHL season, like the over/under on @Connor McDavid’s point total, the @St. Louis Blues chances at a Stanley Cup repeat, and the NHL Best Bet Game of the Week.

They also question Mike Babcock’s decision to healthy scratch @Jason Spezza in the Leafs’ home opener against his former team, the @Ottawa Senators, in favour of Nick Shore.
They do another edition of Keep it or Clip It:
