Here we’ve put together a collection of scouting reports, highlights, and news items regarding newly drafted forward, Jeremias Lindewall. The Edmonton Oilers selected Lindewall with the 200th overall pick in October’s draft, adding yet another forward to an organizational depth chart that has been light on skill up-front over the past few years.

BIO:

SCOUTING REPORTS

“He showed off good puck control and could cover it effectively with his body. For a player of his size, Lindewall showed off good first steps and could accelerate well with the puck without having to slow down. What Lindewall does best is his work in front of the opposing net. He can take and deliver blows and has some grit to his style.” Elite Prospect 2020 Draft Guide
“A power forward who moves around the ice well and is very effective in the dirty areas of the ice.” Dobber Prospects
“He plays for MoDO in Junior hockey and has 4-4-8 in four games so far in 2020-21. He has been strictly lower leagues so far, but at 18 there’s plenty of time to move up the chain in Sweden. This is absolutely a ‘draft and follow’ type selection.” -Lowetide

LOOKING AHEAD…

Jeremias Lindewall registered 11-17-28 in 39 games during 2019-20 campaign with MODO Hockey J20 of the Super Elite League, which is certainly reasonable for a prospect selected this late in the draft. So far this season, Lindewall started his year in the J20 Nationell where he got off to a hot start, scoring 5-4-9 in only eight games. A long-term prospect to be sure, Lindewall’s strong start allowed him to make the jump to MODO Hockey of the HockeyAllsvenskan, which is the second-highest league in Sweden and will provide a strong challenge for the seventh-rounder. At the time of posting, Lindewall has one goal in seven games played in the HockeyAllsvenskan.
