Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
To kick off this week’s segment, we got started with a look back at the Oilers’ season and whether or not I believe the season was a failure because of where the boys finished. While I don’t agree with some that this season was a disaster because the boys got knocked out in the second round, I do understand why anything less than a Stanley Cup would be a loss. I mean, Connor McDavid said the exact same thing yesterday in his exit interview, ya know? Changing gears, I got asked about how much I’ll be paying attention to the rest of the playoffs, and now that the Oilers are out, I’m honestly looking forward to having a little bit of extra time to do other things. From there, we shifted our focus over to Toronto as Lochlin wanted to know what I think will happen with the Leafs this summer. Seeing as the Leafs got bumped early again, many are wondering what kinds of personnel changes we’ll see. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s segment with a look at some of the Oilers roster moves that may go down over the next four or five months, specifically what the team will do to try and improve despite having limited cap space available.
