Good morning, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another opportunity for your ol’ pal Baggedmilk to jump on the Cruz FM airwaves with the folks on The Locker Room to talk about Oilers, what’s been going on around the NHL, and why we all love to argue about it.
Kicking off this week’s appearance, we jumped in with a look at the Edmonton Oilers’ three-game winning streak and how much of a relief it is to see them string some wins together even if two of them cames against the Ottawa Senators. Even so, the Sens are a team that the Oilers need to beat and while both games certainly weren’t perfect, the boys handled their business and took care of a team that they should more often than not. We also looked at Jesse Puljujarvi’s two-goal performance from last night and mused about much of a relief it must be for the big fella to finally get his first goal(s) of the season. From my perspective, I thought Jesse was always playing well but it was certainly nice to see him finally get rewarded for his efforts. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s segment with a quick chat about Mike Smith who is slated to return sooner than later and what that will mean for the Oilers’ goaltending situation moving forward.
