Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
To kick off this week’s segment, we got started with a look at one of my own tweets I put out last week that shares my love of the December drinking season and how it’s completely acceptable to pour yourself a rum on a Tuesday as long as you’ve got the Christmas lights on. Wednesday night? Beer time. Thursday? Bottle of red, friend. Moving back to the Oilers, we looked at Monday’s loss to the Washington Capitals and how that game was one of the worst we’ve seen lately even though the score only ended up being a 3-2 loss. Had it not been for Stuart Skinner, the Oilers could have easily found themselves down by a touchdown but that’s just kinda what Stu has been doing all season. That said, I would start Jack Campbell tonight against the Arizona Coyotes to see if he can pick up a win against a weaker opponent before going right back to Skinner on Friday against Minnesota. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s appearance with a look at the Heritage Classic coming back to Edmonton after Jason Gregor broke the news on the site yesterday that the outdoor game will make its return for the first time since the original back in 2003. Am I excited to go? Absolutely, but if the NHL gives us any other team than the Calgary Flames then I think they’ll have missed out on a massive opportunity. GIVE US THE FLAMES!
