Baggedmilk on #theLOCKERROOM: Oilers need a bounce back effort in the worst way

Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
To kick off this week’s segment, we got started with a look at the second round of the playoffs and how it’s been wild to see every series having such wild finishes. Whether it’s blowout games in three of the series or Toronto dropping every game so far, the second round has been as surprising as it has been entertaining. From an Oilers perspective, the wild part has been how the team has looked so inconsistent from game-to-game, and whether or not they’ll be able to bounce back after a tough outing in Game 3 at Rogers Place. Needless to say, the Oilers need a bounce-back effort in the worst way because they cannot find themselves down 3-1 heading back to Vegas for Friday. If the boys play the way they can — the way we watched them play on Saturday in Game 2 — then we’re going to be fine, but it certainly won’t be easy. Changing gears, we looked at the Leafs’ series against Florida and how a lot of us actually picked Toronto to win, but that is not the way things have played out at all. From my perspective, I think I simply underestimated the Panthers when I clearly should have given them more credit. Then again, I guess that’s the beauty of the playoffs, ya know?
