Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
To kick off this week’s segment, we got started with a quick recap of the #NationVacation to Las Vegas that just wrapped up on Sunday. Needless to say, it was one of the best weekends I’ve had in quite some time, and also a big reason why I’m very much looking forward to the Toronto trip that’s coming up in March. Getting back to the Oilers, it’s amazing how much can change in the span of a week. In my last segment, the Oilers had just lost to the Kings and the mood was low, but after rattling off four straight Pacific Division wins, there’s starting to be some light at the end of the tunnel. Add in the fact that Evander Kane returned to the lineup and finished his night with seven shots on goal, and maybe things are starting to look up a little bit. But the other big story from yesterday was how Jesse Puljujarvi got healthy scratched for the first time, leading many Oilers fans to wonder if this is the end for our sweet Bison King. Are we working through the final days here? Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s appearance with a look at the schedule and how there are a bunch of winnable games coming up here that could put the Oilers right back in the mix provided they keep playing the way they are right now. Is it doable? Dare to dream.
