Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
To kick off this week’s segment, we got started with a look at the reverse retro jerseys that the Oilers will be wearing for the first time tonight, and whether or not this design is anything special compared to the rest of the league. Personally, I think the throwback to the Todd McFarlane design from back in the day is pretty cool, but what I like most about this jersey is that the Oilers did something a little bit different. They didn’t just bring back the same logo with different colours, ya know? Next up, we looked at what’s going on in net right now as Stuart Skinner seems to have wrestled the starting net away for the time being. Frankly, I think it’s a blessing that we have Skinner playing as well as he is right now because it gives Jack Campbell a little bit of extra time to work through the issues he’s having in his game. Grant then asked me about Dyllan Holloway and what I would do with our beloved rookie since he’s often playing so few minutes after getting stapled to the bench after a mistake. Considering how important he’ll be to this team moving forward, I would be starting him off slowly in Bakersfield rather than trying to learn how to be a pro at the NHL level but no one asks for my opinion even if they should. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s appearance with a look at the Brunch for Ben that we’ll be throwing at SOHO on November 26th and how it means so much to all of us to be able to work alongside the Stelter family on an amazing cause.
