Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
To kick off this week’s segment, we got started with a look at what was a wild Tuesday in Edmonton as the Oilers traded both Jesse Puljujarvi and Tyson Barrie. And while the Puljujarvi trade was a straight cap dump in the morning, Ken Holland took a big swing a few hours later when he went out and traded for Mattias Ekholm from the Nashville Predators to help bolster the blue line. Will these moves work out? What else is coming? Changing gears, we also looked at what the Toronto Maple Leafs have been doing and how it seems like Kyle Dubas is doing everything he possibly can to get this team past the first round. But even though the Leafs have been incredibly busy, it’s going to be really hard to get out of the Eastern Conference as there are a handful of teams that are absolutely stacked. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s segment with a look at the Oilersnation 15th anniversary party and how this is an event you absolutely want to be at as we celebrate what has been a wild ride for this website.
