Betway Bets of the Day — Backing the Bolts

Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the Day!

A solid day of profit yesterday, even though I feel robbed that only one of Evan Bouchard’s shot attempts hit the net. Alas, we move forward.

Our first bet of the day will be taking Victor Hedman to score 1+ point. These odds sit at -134.

Victor Hedman has scored 17 points this year in 16 games, cashing the over on this prop in 10 of those games. He’s already done so in a game last week against the Chicago Blackhawks, who the Tampa Bay Lightning play again tonight. The Bolts have a great matchup and it’s not just at 5v5, as the Lightning has the best power play matchup on the slate. Look for Hedman to be involved.

Therefore, we will stack this prop with another Lightning prop, taking Nikita Kucherov to score 2+ points. These odds also sit at -134.

Kucherov hit this bet in seven of 15 games, but I like him to get on the scoreboard twice tonight.

Our second bet of the day will be taking Jordan Kyrou to take over 3.5 shots on goal. These odds sit at -105.

Kyrou’s hit this prop in four of 14 games this year, but has taken the 10th most shots on goal per 60 of any forward on tonight’s slate.

And while his St. Louis Blues have been a bit of a mess this season, they could be turning a corner here, and Kyrou should be a big part of it. He and his linemates on the Blues’ top line have the best matchup on the slate, taking on the San Jose Sharks, so that’s what helped me land on this prop tonight.
