Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the Day!
The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Our first bet of the day will be taking over 6.5 goals between the Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres. These odds sit at -125, and will be a two-unit play.
This is a fade the public play at a surprising 68 percent of the public is on the under, according to the CBS Sports app. The Sabres’ defensive numbers are a bit better than one would expect in the early goings this year, but these teams are still giving a lot of goals.
The Sabres’ offence is potent and we’ve seen them blow up offensively in games before, and this feels like it could be one of those spots tonight.

Our second bet of the day will be taking Tage Thompson to take o3.5 SOG. These odds sit at -150.
Fire at will, Tage.
He’s cashed the over on this prop in three of five games this year, hitting the four, five and 10 shot mark in those matches. He and his linemates on the Sabres’ top line have the best matchup in this single game slate, and that makes me like this spot even more.
As the primary shooter on the line, he should have more than enough chances to cash this prop.
Record: 12-8 (+4.52u, +20.55 ROI%)
Last 7: 6-7 (+1.55u, +11.92 ROI%)
