Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the Day! We’ve been busy with news on the go the past ten days, so the Bets of the Day haven’t gotten the love they deserve.
Now, it’s time for that to change.
The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Our first bet of the day will be taking Matthew Tkachuk to take over 3.5 shots on goal. These odds sit at -134.
Matthew Tkachuk should have no issues here cashing this prop for us tonight. He’s averaging 13 shots on goal per hour this season, the second-highest rate of any player on tonight’s slate, and while he’s cashed this prop in eight of 14 games this year, the San Jose Sharks are the worst team in the NHL.
Since Tkachuk joined the Panthers two years ago, he’s faced off against the Sharks three times taking 10, four and seven shots on goal in those games, while also racking up five points.
For that reason, we’re going to drop a unit on Tkachuk to score 2+ points at +155.

THE BETS OF THE DAY ARE PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Our second bet of the day will be taking the Pittsburgh Penguins to score over 3.5 goals. These odds sit at -135.
The Penguins are in a great spot tonight against the Blue Jackets. While Pittsburgh has the No. 1 ranked 5v5 offence in the league, Columbus has the 29th ranked 5v5 defence in the league, according to Daily Faceoff’s DFS charts. Given that, it’s hard to ignore this spot tonight.
The Penguins have cashed this prop in three of their last four matchups in the previous two years, and it’s hard to think they won’t do it here tonight.
Record: 23-24 (-.85u, -1.77 ROI%)
