The Edmonton Oilers will be catching the Chicago Blackhawks riding a three-game losing streak on Tuesday night when they play host to them as -130 betting favourites on the NHL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
And the Oilers will also be seeking revenge on Tuesday night as they fell to the Blackhawks in the first meeting of the season between the Western Conference teams back in October.

Blackhawks at Oilers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Edmonton had lost two straight games before knocking off the Nashville Predators 3-2 at -110 on the NHL moneyline at home on Saturday night, with Leon Draisaitl scoring his 30th and 31st goals of the season in the victory and Alex Chiasson providing the team’s other marker on the night. Mike Smith got the start between the pipes for Edmonton and made 27 saves.
The Oilers had lost their previous two games against the Arizona Coyotes and the San Jose Sharks, but picked up the victory in four of their five outings before that to stay in the thick of the race in the Pacific Division standings. The Oilers head into their schedule this week at +400 on the odds to win the Pacific Division at online betting sites.
Meanwhile, the Blackhawks are well back at +4000 on the odds to win the Central Division, but remain on the edge of the Western Conference wild card race heading into the week. That could change, however, if Chicago can’t find a way out of its current slump, which has seen it fall in consecutive contests to the Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins, and Winnipeg Jets.
The Blackhawks took a 2-0 lead on Winnipeg on Sunday night but then gave up five consecutive goals to fall 5-2 at +100 on the road on the NHL moneyline. Overall Chicago has lost four of its last five games after putting together a five-game winning streak last month.
The Oilers and Blackhawks have split their last 10 meetings at five wins apiece heading into Tuesday’s game, according to the OddsShark NHL Database, but Chicago topped Edmonton 3-1 in their first meeting of the season on October 14 as small -115 home favourites. Patrick Kane, Alex Nylander, and Brandon Saad scored for Chicago, and James Neal replied for Edmonton in the seventh UNDER result between the two teams in their last 10 matchups.
