It was just last week when Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl revealed to the world the return of their mullets.
We’ve seen Connor have the “McFlow,” as it’s been dubbed in the Oilers online community, but this is the first I can recall seeing it from Draisaitl. Right now, they’re both in the baby stages of their hair-do. Soon, however, we’ll see them grow.
Business in the front, party in the back.
The big question around town as of late has been this: who’s idea was it?! Well, our man Tyler Yaremchuk has finally gotten to the bottom of it.
So there you have it, folks. The mullets are here now, and apparently here to stay.
McDavid’s a guy who has always ramped up his game in the back half of seasons. February through May always seem to be his most productive months of the season. In those months alone, he’s scored 341 points in 222 games — an average of 1.53 points per game. In October through January, he’s scored 448 points in 315 games — an average of 1.42 points per game. It’s not a huge difference, but it shows his ability to show up when it counts.
In February through May for Draisaitl, he’s scored 261 points in 231 games — an average of 1.13 points per game. In October through January, 431 points in 375 games — an average of 1.15 points per game.
It’s going to be fun to see what the Dynamic Duo gets done in the second half of the year.
