Edmonton Oilers place Devin Shore on waivers

If there’s one thing the Edmonton Oilers haven’t been shy about this year, it’s placing players on waivers to create gameday roster flexibility.

The latest move has seen forward Devin Shore placed on waivers by the Oilers Tuesday morning. Shore has appeared in 11 games this year for the Oilers scoring one goal and two assists.

While it’s far from a major move, the roster flexibility for the Oilers has been crucial this season. It’s allowed them to mix and match their lines easier and also has given Dave Tippett the ability to find a bottom-six that appears to be clicking.

Waiver eligibility only lasts for 30 days and had been previously waived on Jan. 13 when he inked his one-year, $700,000 contract with the Oilers.
