The IIHF World Hockey Championships wrapped up on Sunday with Sweden winning a second straight gold medal after defending their title against Switzerland 3-2 in a shootout. For the Edmonton Oilers, only Adam Larsson was able to bring a medal home after Canada came up flat against the Americans in their semi-final matchup earlier in the day.
In total, the Oilers had seven regulars (semi-regular in Auvitu’s case) and one prospect representing them at the World Hockey Championships with each player finding varying levels of success. Below, we’ve put together the numbers on how each player performed for their respective clubs and where they finished in the tournament standings.
