WHAT CAN YOU SAY?
This is what a champion looks like! Who was that Oilers squadron? Full of fight, full of zip and full of victory. We have PVR’d these past two games and will watch them once per day during this long offseason to remind ourselves what the team might look like in the not so distant future.
Serving the Canucks back to back helpings of loser stew might not be sufficient to make up for this 2010-11 Oilers Season but it certainly helps soothe the tattered nerves of the OilersNation.
- Ryan Jones continues to look like an absolute beast, potting his 18th goal of the season.
- Devan Dubnyk has played a whale of a pair of games, turning aside 66 of the 67 shots sent his way during the two games against Vancouver. And a shoutout? At home? Well played Sir. A tip of the cap in your direction.
- Jordan Eberle shook off a wicked elbow from Raffi Torres that might have ended the evening of a mere mortal. Here is to Torres being shown the door for a few games for his troubles.
We’re sure others have more pertinent things to add, so we will turn the floor over to the masses of jubilant crowds gathering in the streets who have put down their guns of rage and are now firing their guns of joy.
Suck on that bitter popsicle of defeat Vancouver- served icy cold by the Edmonton Oilers.
