The National Hockey League’s bubbles in Edmonton and Toronto remain COVID-19 free, the league said in a statement Monday.
A total of 4,644 tests have been conducted between Aug. 16 and Aug. 22 with no tests coming back positive.
We’re reaching a point where we can seriously give the NHL lots of credit for their ability to run such a tight ship. The players, team staff and the many support staff workers — including those in the hotel and the rest of the bubble — have done an incredible job of staying healthy and keeping hockey going.
There’s still lots of time to go, however, but this has been impressive nonetheless.
Since teams left their respective cities to join the bubbles, 24,542 tests have been conducted.
