Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
I’m so excited about tonight’s game that I can barely describe it. From where I blog, there’s nothing better than watching the Oilers and Flames go at it as the late game on Hockey Night in Canada, and when you mix in the fact that both teams are buzzing right now, you’ve got the recipe for a spicy little Battle of Alberta. Not only am I excited about the game, but we’re actually down in Jasper for their annual Pond Hockey Tournament with the gang from Flamesnation, and I cannot wait to chirp them all after what I hope to be another Oilers win. Either way, my plan for game 42 is to unload the clip on the Oilers as a means of manifesting a new Canadian record for the most consecutive wins.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’m using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Calgary Flames.

Player Prop:

Evan Bouchard over 2.5 shots at +110. My $5 bet would return $10.50.

Easy Money:

Oilers over 33 shots on goal at -125. My $5 bet would return $9.00.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid and Zach Hyman both to score at +275. My $5 bet would return $18.75.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Oilers to win and over 5.5 total goals at +125. My $5 bet would return $11.25.

RISKY BUSINESS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Last Game

I opened up my Betway app after Thursday’s game and saw that I had cashed in 3/4 bets on the night, I basically felt like i was going to burst into a cloud of glitter. Not only was I elated about the win, but I also filled up my betting account in what ended up as a double in a two-for-one of Oilers-related happiness.
Here’s what I bet against the Kraken:
  • Leon Draisaitl to register 1+ power play point at +140. ✅
  • Over 1.5 total first period goals at -150. ✅
  • Both teams to score in the first period at +140.
  • Oilers to win and over 5.5 total goals at +115. ✅
And there you have it, friends. Now you know what I’m betting on and how I did last game. As always, I put one unit down on each bet. Hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Flames.
It’s also worth noting that betting lines move throughout the day, so that may be the reason why what’s listed above doesn’t match what’s on Betway when you put together your own bets.
