Risky Business: Bet on the Oilers to grab bounce back win, and Connor McDavid to get two points

Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
We all knew the win streak would end at some point, and now that it’s over, what we need now is for the Oilers to get themselves right back in the win column. The good news is that tonight’s opponent is one that the boys have handled twice already this year, and that has me feeling like a date with the Anaheim Ducks is precisely what the doctor ordered.
Of course, beating Anaheim won’t be easy — there are no layups in the NHL — but if ever there was a game that gave our side a decent opportunity for two points, it might be this one. I’m not trying to get ahead of myself here, though — Gord knows we’ve watched the Oilers lose to bad teams before — but if they play the way they can, then there’s no reason we shouldn’t be celebrating two more points in the bank.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I use for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Anaheim Ducks.

Player Prop:

Evan Bouchard over 2.5 shots on goal at +100. My $5 bet would return $10.00.

Easy Money:

Oilers over 34 shots on goal at -125. My $5 bet would return $9.00.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +250. My $5 bet would return $17.50.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Edmonton Oilers to win and Connor McDavid to register 2+ points at +110. My $5 bet would return $10.50.

Last Game

I really cannot stand the Vegas Golden Knights, and having our beloved win streak ended by them still stings a little bit. The good news is that I know the boys are likely just as mad as I am about that loss, and I’m hopeful that they will take that rage out on the Anaheim Ducks later this evening. As for my bets from Tuesday? Things didn’t go so well.
Here’s what I bet against the Golden Knights:
  • Leon Draisaitl over 2.5 shots at -125.
  • Over 60.5 total shots on goal at -116.
  • Zach Hyman and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +350.
  • Oilers to win and over 5.5 total goals at +170.
And there you have it, friends. Now you know what I’m betting on and how I did last game. As always, I put one unit down on each bet. Hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Anaheim Ducks.
It’s also worth noting that betting lines move throughout the day, so that may be the reason why what’s listed above doesn’t match what’s on Betway when you put together your own bets.
