The Edmonton Oilers improved their winning streak to four games thanks to an impressive win in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The Kings took a 2-0 lead in the first period but the Oilers held the fort and Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl scored in the second period to tie the game. The score remained tied at 2-2 through the third period and overtime before Derek Ryan scored a walk-off goal in the fourth round of the shootout to secure the win for the Oilers.
Below are the highlights from the game.

The Kings opened the scoring in the latter part of the first period after Leon Draisaitl took a two-minute penalty for hooking. Adrian Kempe carried the puck deep into Edmonton’s zone while on the man advantage and fed Kevin Fiala in the high slot for a one-timer that made its way through Stuart Skinner.
Kempe added a goal of his own a few minutes later to give the Kings a 2-0 lead. He snuck behind Edmonton’s defenders as the Kings gained possession of the puck in their own zone and was sprung in on a breakaway by Anze Kopitar. The Kings were outshooting the Oilers 11 to 2 by this point and it seemed the ice was tilted in Los Angeles’s favour.
The momentum changed in the second period when the Oilers killed off an interference penalty called on Draisaitl and then got a power play of their own after Drew Doughty was called for tripping. Connor McDavid scored a goal from an impossible angle to bring the score to 2-1.
Later in the second period, with Raphael Lavoie in the box for interference and Kevin Fiala penalized for tripping, the dynamic duo got united for a four-on-four shift and capitalized. The Kings won a faceoff in their own zone, McDavid stole the puck and fed Draisaitl in the slot, who wired a one-timer past Cam Talbot to knot the score at 2-2.
The score remained tied at 2-2 throughout the third period and five minutes of three-on-three overtime. The Kings nearly ended the game just over a minute into OT but Ryan Nugent-Hopkins made an excellent defensive play to stop a goal.
In the fourth round of the shootout, after Stuart Skinner stopped an attempt from Anze Kopitar, Derek Ryan netted the winner for the Oilers with a glove-side snipe on Talbot.
