The Edmonton Oilers are now on a seven-game winning streak following a 3-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators. Zach Hyman led the way with a hat trick while Stuart Skinner stopped 29 of 30 shots for the win. Below are the highlights from the game…

After a scoreless first period, the Oilers got on the board with a power-play goal. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins dropped a pass back to the point for Evan Bouchard, who fired a quick wrist shot toward the net that Zach Hyman was able to deflect past goaltender Anton Forsberg.
The Oilers extended their lead to 2-0 early in the third period. The Sens lazily dumped the puck into the neutral zone at the end of a shift and went to change and the Oilers capitalized. Bouchard fed Hyman just outside of Ottawa’s blueline and he squeaked a quick shot past Forsberg.
The Sens finally got on the board with about five minutes left in the third period. Brady Tkachuk grabbed a loose puck deep in Edmonton’s zone and dragged it to the front of the net. Stuart Skinner stopped the initial play from Tkachuk but Parker Kelly came in from the slot and buried the second opportunity.
Senators defenceman Artem Zub took an interference penalty shortly after Ottawa made the score 2-1 and the Oilers regained their two-goal lead while on the man advantage. Following a faceoff win, Evan Bouchard fed the puck across the blueline to Connor McDavid, who threw a shot-pass through the slot that Zach Hyman deflected past Anton Forsberg to complete the hat trick. Hyman now has 25 goals on the season.
