The Edmonton Oilers just keep winning.
The team’s franchise-high winning streak extended to 12 games on Thursday as the Oilers beat the Seattle Kraken by a score of 4-2. Below are the highlights from the game.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

The Kraken opened the scoring in the middle part of the first period. After Connor McDavid brought the puck deep into Seattle’s zone, the Kraken quickly turned the puck up ice and Eeli Tolvanen snuck in alone and sniped a shot glove side on Stuart Skinner.
The Kraken extended their lead to 2-0 a few minutes later, again off of a broken-up play in their defensive zone. Jordan Eberle sprung Jarden McCann on a partial break and he roofed a shot on Skinner’s blocker side.
The Oilers got on the board early in the second period. Evander Kane won a race on the forecheck, Leon Draisaitl threw a shot on goal, and the puck bounced to the other side of the net for Warren Foegele, who buried the rebound into the open net.
A few minutes later, the Oilers tied the game at 2-2 with a power play goal. Kraken goaltender Joey Daccord made a save on Zach Hyman in tight but Leon Draisaitl was able to bank the rebound off of him and into the net.
The Oilers took their first lead of the game not long after, capping off a stretch in which they scored three goals in just over seven minutes. In a goal much like Seattle’s second, Draisaitl sprung Foegele in on a breakaway and he sniped a shot past Daccord to make the score 3-2.
The game started to get chippy in the latter part of the third period. Late in the frame, Seattle forward Yanni Gourde threw a high hit on defenceman Mattias Ekholm and was given a five-minute charging penalty.
On the ensuing power play, the Oilers extended their lead to 4-2 and iced the game. Connor McDavid feathered a pass through the zone for Zach Hyman, who buried his 27th goal of the season.
