Following their 6-2 pounding of the Anaheim Ducks the other night, the Edmonton Oilers kept the good times rolling with a dominant 7-1 victory over the Sharks in San Jose.
Below are the highlights from the game…

GAME HIGHLIGHTS ARE PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Things were tight for the first half of the first period but Connor McDavid broke through on the power play to give the Oilers a 1-0 lead…
Shortly before the end of the first frame, the Oilers made the score 2-0 when Zach Hyman fired a pass toward the net that bounced off of Klim Kostin’s skate and past Kaapo Kahkonen. Kostin suddenly has eight goals on the season…
The floodgates started to open up in the second period. With the Oilers on another power play, Leon Draisaitl picked up a rebound from a Ryan Nugent-Hopkins shot and fed a wide-open Connor McDavid for his second of the game…
The Sharks had an opportunity shortly after to get back into the game with a power play of their own but it was Nugent-Hopkins who made the score 4-0 with a short-handed goal. This featured great work from Mattias Janmark to not only get the puck out of Edmonton’s zone and push out for a breakaway but to stay with the puck after the original save by Kahkonen…
Leon Draisaitl made the score 5-0 with a rocket of a snipe for his 24th goal of the season…
This game was pretty much all about Edmonton’s offence, but we should give some love to Jack Campbell as well. He stopped 25 of 26 shots that San Jose threw at him, including this gem early in the third period…
Later in the third, Jesse Puljujarvi went to the net and redirected a Ryan Nugent-Hopkins pass over Kahkonen for his fourth goal of the season…
The Oilers made the score 7-0 under one minute later. Warren Foegele busted out of Edmonton’s zone on a break and tried to make a drop pass to Dylan Holloway that got stopped by Ryan McLeod picked the puck up in the slot and wired it past Kahkonen…
With just under five minutes to go in the game, Oskar Lindblom redirected a Matt Benning point shot to end Jack Campbell’s shutout bid…
