GDB Wrap Up: Oilers @ Ducks

Another good effort, but moral victories don’t count. Final Score: 3-2 Ducks.

Having a back to back against the Sharks and Ducks is like getting kicked in the balls by the lady that ripped off your tearaways (just me?). If 6 hours of punishment is your thing, you were probably into it. If you’ve got dainty baby feelings like I do, seeing these two games on the schedule was like having the NHL schedule maker steal my Dunkaroos. It’s not cool and it’s uncalled for. Not that it really matters at this point. *sigh*

Last night was probably one of the best examples of ELPH that I’ve seen in a while. Unexpectedly,the Oilers followed that up with another round of it. Who would have thought that we’d get two competitive games against California teams on back to back nights!? (Quick, everyone buy a lotto ticket) Speaking of effort, how good was Taylor Hall tonight? The guy was flying and getting chances at will. At the end of the day, the good effort wasn’t good enough for a win. At least the draft whiners are happy.

Wrap it up…
