Nation Brunch Party 3.0 presented by 1ST RND and Cornerstone Insurance

After having so much fun with the brunch parties we’ve thrown in the past, we realized that it had been far too long since we’ve gotten together in the daylight hours to watch some puck and enjoy a few bevvies. Thankfully, the schedule was on our side and that means another brunch party is on the horizon.

I know I say this a lot, but one of my favourite parts of this job is getting together and meeting with the fantastic people that make the community what it is and I can’t wait for another chance to get everyone in the same room. We’re less than a week out from getting back from Vegas and we were already getting the itch to meet up with everyone again. Hockey games just hit differently when you’re watching it with a room full of Internet friends, ya know? Throw some breakfast into the mix, add a charity component to help raise funds for our friends at Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta, another big matinee win, and you’ve got the makings of a fine little Sunday.

Seeing as we love bunch parties and have so much fun every time we throw one, we combed the schedule for another matinee game that would give us an excuse for a few breakfast caesars and we were delighted to see an 11:30 AM start coming up on the schedule in just under two weeks. On March 15th, we’re going to pack up some of our fresh NationGear designs, invade 1ST RND’s downtown location, fill the place with fine Nation citizens, and have ourselves another memorable morning together. To be honest, there’s nothing better.

Not only will it be a good time to hang out with everybody and maybe even make some new friends, but we’re also actually talking about an event taking place when the games actually mean something. That alone adds a layer of intrigue that our bodies may need some time to get used to. Put another way, we haven’t been able to do anything like this since 2017 and that feels like 1000 years ago at this point. Have we forgotten what meaningful parties feel like? Could this be the tune-up we need for April? Do our livers and minds need a pre-season for the postseason? Perhaps.
