The Oilers are the cusp of the unthinkable. When I set out on this crazy adventure with you all 58 games ago, I resolved myself to the fact that this would be the most pure sim we could do. I adjusted the sliders for the game play to as closely mimic actual games with 20 minutes periods. It has lead to some funny/frustrating/comical moments throughout as well as one very disappointing elimination of the OG Oilers sim in Game 7 of the WCF. Tonight is the first chance these “#NationSims2” Oilers will have a Game time for Game Four is 7pm MT right here in this article or follow us on twitch at OfficialOilersnation.

If you haven’t tuned in for any of the previous 50+ sims before, you have missed quite a bit. We simulated the entire rest of the regular season and then ran a simulation of the traditional playoffs set up that could have been based off points percentage for the teams. They were able to make it to the Western Conference finals in that one only to fall one game short battling back from 3-0 down to the @Dallas Stars in the series.

Then #NationSims2 began with us playing the @Chicago Blackhawks in the play-in round.

When we ran the previous playoff stream, you asked for the ability to pick the jersey matchup each night. We love doing this for you and this will continue, I will just be running the jersey polls the day before a game to get them out there longer, and to get others to tune in as well as you!
