The Edmonton Oilers will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak in Sin City when they visit the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday as +140 road underdogs on the NHL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Edmonton travels to the desert after suffering a lopsided 5-1 loss in Los Angeles on Thursday, extending the team’s current run of middling play on the road that has produced just four wins in 10 contests going into Saturday night’s game at T-Mobile Arena.

The Oilers have been plagued by inconsistency since opening the campaign on a five-game win streak. The club has posted consecutive wins on just three occasions over the 19 games since seeing their fast start halted, claiming victory in just seven of their past 16 outings, according to the OddsShark NHL Database.
Uneven defensive performances have emerged as a real problem in Edmonton. The Oilers have surrendered five or more goals in three of their past five outings, and in each of their past four defeats. However, the team has turned in equally stingy performances, surrendering just eight total goals over their past six victories, leaving bettors uncertain as to which version of the team will show up on any given night.
The Oilers have produced steady results in totals betting, with the OVER going 6-1-1 over their past eight contests. That includes a 3-0-1 run over their past four road dates, ending a 7-0-0 run for the UNDER in their previous seven games away from Rogers Place.
The team will now try to regain their scoring touch in this season’s first trip to Vegas, where they have fallen to defeat in their past three visits while scoring just five total goals. That is a trend they will need to reverse against a rejuvenated Golden Knights squad that rides a 2-0-1 run into Saturday night’s contest as -160 home favourites at online sports betting sites.
Pegged as season-opening favourites to win the Pacific Division, the Golden Knights have endured a slow start, highlighted by a recent 3-5-3 run that has contributed to their slide into fourth place in the division standings.
However, the Golden Knights have turned things around during their current three-game surge, outscoring opponents by a wide 12-3 margin, and have earned at least a point in seven of their past nine dates on home ice.
