The Edmonton Oilers will be looking to continue the offensive resurgence that has powered them to two straight victories when they close out a two-game road trip in San Jose on Tuesday as +115 underdogs on the NHL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Edmonton has regained its scoring touch of late, outgunning the Anaheim Ducks in a 6-2 victory on Sunday, and has now potted 10 total goals over two outings ahead of Tuesday night’s game at the SAP Center at San Jose.

The Oilers struggled to find the back of the net during a recent nine-game stretch that featured six losses, averaging just 1.88 goals per game. However, the club has risen to the occasion in recent road contests. With Sunday’s win over the Ducks as +105 underdogs, the Oilers have now claimed victory in three straight contests away from Rogers Place, while outscoring opponents by a 12-4 margin.
The team’s weekend surge has been timely, keeping the Oilers atop the Pacific Division standings, three points up on the Calgary Flames. Edmonton’s continued presence at the top of the divisional standings has also impacted the team’s fortunes on the NHL betting futures, where the Oilers now join the Flames as +500 second favourites to win the Pacific Division.
However, the Oilers have work to do to overcome their dismal record in recent clashes with San Jose. Winners in seven of their past eight meetings with Edmonton, the Sharks look to Tuesday night’s contest perched as -135 favourites at online betting sites.
The Sharks offence has clicked with regularity during their recent domination of the Oilers, averaging five goals per game during a 7-0-1 run, while holding Edmonton to just two goals in each of their past three meetings.
San Jose has also been playing some of its best hockey of the season during a three-game win streak, capped by a 2-1 win over the Nashville Predators as a +105 underdog on Saturday. Each of the Sharks’ recent wins have come on home ice, lifting them to 5-4-0 at home on the season, and positioning the club to record wins in four straight regular season games played at home for the first time since March.
