McDavid hits 100 points again

For the second straight season, Connor McDavid has reached the 100 point plateau as he continues his league domination and ascent into NHL infamy.
It was an achievement that we all saw coming for a while now, but McDavid made good on his second straight 100 point season on another perfect pass that is basically his calling card at this point. With his 61st assist on the Ryan Nugent-Hopkins goal, the Oilers captain has now reached 100 points in back-to-back seasons which makes him the first Edmonton Oiler to do so since Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier both did it from 1986-87 through 1987-88. Needless to say, he’s pretty funkin’ good at hockey.
Earlier on in the season, Connor was battling through almost every illness under the sun which made it seem like hitting 100 points seem unlikely. The crazy part was that, at the time, he was still playing at a point per game pace but he didn’t really look like himself if that makes sense. That said, betting against Connor McDavid to do basically anything in hockey is a fool’s errand and completely inadvisable. Over the past month or so, McDavid has gone completely supernova and has amassed 45 points (24G, 21A) in his last 27 games which made getting to this point before the end of the season almost inevitable.
Now that he’s made it to 100 I can’t help but wonder how high the ceiling will be for him this year? I mean, there’s still time left to go in tonight’s game and there are five more games to follow. Would it really be unreasonable to see him get to 110? I wouldn’t bet against him.
