The Edmonton Oilers will be gunning for consecutive wins for the first time this season when they close out a four-game road trip in Winnipeg on Tuesday night as -115 favourites on the NHL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Edmonton is coming off a 4-3 victory in Winnipeg on Sunday, and has recorded two wins over the first three games on the team’s road trip going into Tuesday night’s matchup at Bell MTS Place.

The Oilers needed to play catch-up to eke out Sunday’s victory as a -140 favorite at online sports betting sites. Edmonton needed to overcome a one-goal deficit on two occasions, with Leon Draisaitl sealing the win with a goal in the final second of regulation time. Draisaitl also set up the game-tying goal, while Connor McDavid contributed a trio of helpers in the contest.
Sunday’s victory was welcome after Edmonton had struggled in recent dates with the Jets. Overall, the Oilers have tallied wins in just three of their last 10 overall meetings with Winnipeg, and have failed to tally consecutive victories over the Jets since December 2016.
The club’s series opener with Winnipeg also marked the Oilers’ highest scoring contest since their season-opening series with Vancouver. With the puck total set at 6.5, the OVER prevailed for the first time in Edmonton’s past five games. However, high scoring affairs have not been unusual when the club plays the Jets on the road, with the OVER going 5-1 in the Oilers’ past six contests at Bell MTS Place.
Listed as slim -105 home underdogs for Tuesday night, the Jets will be aiming to rebound after seeing a steady three-game win streak come to an end with Sunday’s loss. The Jets have enjoyed a 4-2-0 start, which has lifted them into sole possession of third place in the North Division standings. However, each of the wins on their recent tear came against the last-place Ottawa Senators.
Winnipeg remains without Pierre-Luc Dubois, whom they acquired in a blockbuster deal with Columbus this past weekend. The talented 22-year-old cannot join his new team until he clears quarantine later this week. However, even without Dubois, the Jets have been solid offensively, averaging 3.66 goals per game over their first six outings, powering a 4-2 run for the OVER. Winnipeg, though, has just 10 total goals in its past four dates with the Oilers.
