The Bets of the Day is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the day.
Our first bet of the day will be taking David Pastrnak to take over 4.5 shots on goal. This line sits at -118.
David Pastrnak has been a man on a mission this year. He’s been inevitable. He’s got eight goals and 19 points in 12 games and has fired a staggering 62 shots on goal. His 5.17 shots on goal per game are a career-high, and well up from his career average. Over the last two years, however, this is close to the norm as he hits his peak talent averaging 4.45 shots on goal per game during that time.
Pastrnak has hit the over on this shot prop in eight of 12 games this year, and while the Bruins are taking on the St. Louis Blues — a team who ranks just above average in terms of shots allowed per hour — I still like this spot.
He and his linemates are projected to play over a third of their ice time against the Blues’ top line, who are allowing 61.7 shot attempts per hour this year.

Our second bet of the day will be taking Evander Kane to take over 3.5 shots on goal. This line sits at -125.
Kane has been off to a strong start this season with five goals and 12 points in as many games. He’s taken 48 shots on goal this year averaging four per game, and has hit this prop in six of 12 games this year. The Oilers are in need of a dire response tonight after tough losses to the New Jersey Devils and Dallas Stars, and I’d expect Kane to be a big part of leading that charge.
Record: 28-19 (+8.44u)
