The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the day. All bets are for one unit unless otherwise noted.
Our first bet of the day will be taking Alex Ovechkin to score a goal. These odds sit at -125.
We’re going with the narrative play today as Ovechkin returns to the lineup. He missed the last four games as he returned home to Russia after the death of his father, and him scoring tonight would be a great story.
Beyond just that, the Caps are taking on the Anaheim Ducks, who have allowed 5.97 goals against per hour in their last five games.

Our second bet of the day will be taking Connor McDavid to take over 4.5 shots on goal. These odds sit at -110.
McDavid comes into this game on fire taking a staggering 32 shots on goal in his last five games. That’s double the nearest Oiler, Leon Draisaitl, who has taken 16 over that time, and second in the league over that stretch to Nathan MacKinnon’s 34.
In those five games, McDavid has hit this prop in three games falling one shot short in two others. Pittsburgh allows a lot of looks defensively and has given up 34.6 shots against per hour in their last five games.
Record: 112-91 (+11.94u)
Last 30: 17-17 (-2.2u)
Last 7: 4-4 (-.6u)
Yesterday: 0-1 (-1u)
