The Edmonton Oilers closed out their three game road trip with a 2-1 overtime win versus the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night. That Saturday night victory, on Connor McDavid’s birthday, extended the Oilers win streak to ten which set a new franchise record.
Tonight, the Oilers get an opportunity to continue that streak when they take on the Toronto Maple Leafs at Rogers Place. It is the first of two meetings between the two Canadian teams with the second not coming until late March. Unlike the Oilers, Toronto has struggled recently losing three games in a row against the Detroit Red Wings, Colorado Avalanche, and New York Islanders. Of course, they’re a team you can’t take lightly no matter their record.
To help Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin prepare you for the game, for NHLer Jay Rosehill joins Oilersnation Everyday. Rosehill played 117 games in the NHL with 72 coming in the blue and white of the Maple Leafs. He’s also the co-host of Leafs Morning Take over on Leafs Nation.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns throughout the show, leave your thoughts in the Booster Juice live chat over on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. You comments are welcome any time during the live show.
Later in the show, Tyler and Liam go over all the headlines around the NHL including the latest update from the Corey Perry camp. Additionally, they’ll discuss their game day bets, presented by Betway, and take a look at the Wendy’s Daily Faceoff Survivor Pool challenge.
Viewers can catch Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin on Oilersnation Everyday on the Oilersnation YouTube Channel. You can also view the show on Twitter and Facebook. After the show has streamed live, you can find it on all your podcast providers.
