The Edmonton Oilers are looking for their first win streak of the season with a stop in Philadelphia to face the Flyers, as they continue their mini road trip.
The Philadelphia Flyers have had a good start to the season. In the pre-season, many believed the Flyers would be a bottom feeder but they have a 2-1-0 record with wins over the Columbus Blue Jackets and Vancouver Canucks, who beat the Oilers twice to start the year. Travis Konecny is leading the way with three goals and five points in three games. Then between the pipes, the Sherwood Park product, Carter Hart has started all three games and has a 2.35 goals against average along with a 0.922 save percentage.
As for the Oilers, Jack Campbell stood on his head on Tuesday night in a 6-1 win over the Nashville Predators. You could make the argument that his 42-save performance was his best for the Oilers in the regular season. Tonight, Soup gets the nod again. Do you agree with the decision or should Jay Woodcroft have given the net back to Stuart Skinner?
Of course, today’s episode of Oilersnation Everyday is a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition. Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will be around as usual and they will be joined by Jay Downton. The three of them will get you set up for tonight’s action against the Flyers.
