Oilersnation Everyday: Preparing for Game 1 versus the Stars

The Edmonton Oilers are one day away from taking on the Dallas Stars on the road. The Oilers and Stars have a history of going head-to-head in the postseason. Unfortunately, the series has gone more in favour of the Stars/North Stars than the Oilers with six wins out of eight wins going to the opposition. There last meeting was in 2003 so plenty has changed for both franchises since then.

On today’s show, Tyler and Liam are joined by Brien Rea from Bally Sports Southwest. With Brien, they’ll talk about what the Dallas Stars have done to get to the Western Conference Finals. Additionally, they’ll ask him about the weakeness of the Stars and how the Oilers can find success against there Western Conference rivals.

Also on today’s program Jonny Lazerus from Morning Cuppa Hockey joins the guys. Jonny will give some insight of what’s been happening on the eastern side of the bracket. Tonight, the New York Rangers and Florida Panthers go head-to-head for a spot in the Stanley Cup Final and Jonny will give his thoughts on that series. Additionally, they’ll see if he can defend himself after telling Tyler it was a lose-lose for the Oilers in game 7 versus the Vancouver Canucks.
