Oilersnation Everyday: Taking on the Red Wings and Frank Seravalli joins the show

The Edmonton Oilers look to continue their eight game win streak tonight when they travel to Detroit to face the Red Wings.

Edmonton narrowly beat the Chicago Blackhawks earlier in the week, coming away with a 2-1 win. If the Oilers want another two points tonight and their ninth win in a row, their game needs to elevate to the next level.

On the other side, the Red Wings have been in fine form themselves winning their last three games. Those three wins game on their California road trip against the San Jose Sharks, Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks. Despite those three wins, the Red Wings still sit outside of a playoff; however, they’re only one point behind the Tampa Bay Lightning with two games in hand.

Also on today’s show, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff released his updated trade targets list. The Oilers do not have anyone on the list after Warren Foegele was listed on the initial targets earlier in the year. However, the big headliner of the 25 man list is Trevor Zegras from the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks recently acquired Cutter Gauthier from the Philadelphia Flyers, so could it mean the conclusion of Zegras’ time in Anaheim is on the horizon?
