The Edmonton Oilers advanced to the Western Conference Final last night after defeating the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 in Game 7. It is the second time in three years the Oilers have advanced to the final four, with their last coming in 2022 when they lost to the Colorado Avalanche.
Last night, the Oilers didn’t make it easy on themselves, despite having a 3-0 lead with less than 10 minutes to play. Cody Ceci, Zach Hyman and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins gave the Oilers what was thought to be a comfortable lead; however, a turnover from Ryan McLeod led to a Conor Garland goal. Then shortly after, Filip Hronek brought the Canucks within one. Fortunately, Edmonton was able to hang on to move on and face the Dallas Stars.
What did you think of last night’s game? Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live at noon for Oilersnation Everyday to discuss everything that happened in Game 7 versus the Canucks.
