The Edmonton Oilers beat the Florida Panthers last night 5-3 to force a Game 6 in the Stanley Cup Final. Connor McDavid lead the way with a four point performance, making him the first player in NHL history to have back-to-back four point games in the Stanley Cup Final. Stuart Skinner was also outstanding stopping 29 of the 32 shots he faced for a 0.902 save percentage.
Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live for Oilersnation Everyday at noon on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. Want your thoughts on the show? Leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat throughout the program. Tyler and Liam strongly encourage you to interact with them and everyone else in the chat during the duration of the show.
On today’s show, they’ll be joined by Fernando Pisani, who played for the Oilers from 2002 to 2010 after being drafted by his hometown team in 1996. Pisani is best known for his heroics during the Oilers 2006 run to the Stanley Cup Final when he scored 14 goals. They’ll chat with Pisani about the 2006 run to the cup final, his time with the Oilers and what he has been up to lately. If you have any questions for him, leave your questions in the chat and the guys will get to them for you.
Also, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff joins the show for his daily appearance brought to you by Horse Racing Alberta. Earlier today, Frank reported that Jacob Markstrom was traded to the New Jersey Devils. The guys will get his thoughts on that trade and how it could affect the goaltending market for the likes of Linus Ullmark and Juuse Saros. Additionally, they’ll get Frank’s thoughts on last nights game and what he expects to happen in Game 6 in Edmonton.
