After two convincing wins in a row, the Edmonton Oilers look to have found their identity. Connor McDavid is dominating the ice, Leon Draisaitl is scoring from his office, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is finding his 100-point touch, which leads to the question, are the Edmonton Oilers back?
It felt like last night when the Oilers put eight past the Anaheim Ducks. Despite going down early, the team never seemed troubled. Max Jones gave the Ducks a couple of leads, but goals from Connor McDavid, Zach Hyman, Leon Draisaitl, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Evander Kane, and Mattias Eklhom helped the Oilers cross the line.
Even with the win, Edmonton are still 7th in the Pacific Division. They have 15 points through their first 20 games, which puts them six points behind the Seattle Kraken in the final wildcard spot.
Come and join Liam Horrobin for today’s edition of Oilersnation Everyday. He will recap everything that happened last night and Friday’s game versus the Washington Capitals. If you want to add something to the conversation, leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Finning/CAT YouTube live chat throughout the show.
Later in the show, Tyler Yaremchuk will sign in from the Philadelphia Airport. Liam will pick Tyler’s brain on what he has seen from the Oilers this past week, how he thinks they will shape up tomorrow against the Vegas Golden Knights and how his trip down to see Frank Seravalli went.
To close out the show, Liam and Aaron will look around the sporting world with The Menu presented by DoorDash and their bets for the night over on Betway.
