Oilersnation Radio Episode 188 – Oilers are rolling, goaltending, and Connor McDavid’s heater continues

It’s Friday afternoon and that means we’re hitting you with a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio to help you finish off what’s left of your week with an hour of all things Edmonton Oilers. On today’s show, we looked at the Oilers’ six-game winning streak, Connor McDavid’s heater, and a whole lot more.

Kicking off this week’s podcast, we got started with a conversation about the goaltending and specifically which goalie we would start for Game 1 of the playoffs provided that the boys are able to get in. Would it make sense to lean on Smith now that he’s playing better? Would you go to Koskinen based on what he’s done all season? From there, we looked at the heater Connor McDavid is on right now and took a few guesses as to whether or not he’ll be able to hit 50 goals with only 10 games left on the schedule. Speaking of guys that are on a run, we also spent some time giving love to Mike Smith as the veteran netminder has been very good for the Oilers over the last couple of weeks. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers to recap what was a very busy week here in Edmonton.
