Oilersnation Radio Episode 25 – Puljujarvi conspiracies, Sam Gagner, and McDavid’s headshot

Welcome, friendly Nation compadres, to a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio. This week, we touch on the shenanigans surrounding Jesse Puljujarvi, the trades Talbot and Spooner trades, Sam Gagner scoring his first goal in his second tour of duty with the Oilers, and a whole lot more.

To start off this week’s episode, we jump right into the Jesse Puljujarvi controversy that erupted on Twitter this morning when news broke that he could potentially miss the remainder of the season due to surgery. Yes, that’s right, I said surgery. Despite not knowing that he was injured in any way, Jesse Puljujarvi could require surgery that could keep him out for the remainder of the season. That is, of course, unless the second opinion Puljujarvi gets next week says otherwise. From there, we dove into the two trades that Keith Gretzky pulled off this past week and what they mean for the Oilers moving forward. Along those lines, we spent a few minutes pumping Sam Gagner’s tires after he scored his first goal with the Oilers in his second tour of duty. Considering the praise Keith Gretzky got for these two moves, we discussed how the narrative has changed around the team from the media, bloggers, and fans alike. Lastly, we took a quick look at the trade deadline and offered some predictions on what we think the Oilers will accomplish at this year’s seller’s market.
