Hello there, friend Nation citizens, it’s Friday afternoon and that means it’s time for another fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio. This week, we looked at the Jesse Puljujarvi trade rumours from this past week, Ken Holland’s offseason to-do list, Connor McDavid’s leg, the Stanley Cup Finals, and a whole lot more.
To start off this week’s episode, we jumped right in with a look at the Jesse Puljujarvi rumours that have been making the rounds on Twitter this week. According to varying reports, Puljujarvi’s camp is open to a trade and we discuss whether or not the Oilers would be better off without the former 4th overall pick. Does it make sense to trade yet another asset after a down year? I know that selling low is kinda our thing at this point, but that doesn’t mean it makes sense to walk away quite yet, does it?  From there, we got into Ken Holland’s summer to-do list and try to figure out how he’ll add to the roster while also clearing out some cap space. Would a Kris Russell trade work? Andrej Sekera? Someone else? Next up, we took a look at Connor McDavid’s injury and discuss whether or not the Toronto media is making a bigger deal out of what’s going on with his leg than what is actually happening. Lastly, we get into all kinds of NHL rumours that are floating around, including Taylor Hall not wanting to re-sign in New Jersey, Mitch Marner and the Maple Leafs cap woes, and Erik Karlsson reportedly being open to an Ottawa return.
