Oilersnation Radio: Is Connor Brown an Oiler yet, and previewing the NHL Draft
By baggedmilk2 months ago
The NHL Draft is coming up next week, free agency kicks off right behind it, and that means we’ve got plenty to talk about on this week’s episode of Oilersnation Radio.
To kick off the Friday episode of ONR, we started with a look at the Oilers’ draft strategy, specifically how many moves we think the Oilers are going to make at the NHL Entry Draft. Given that Edmonton doesn’t have a whole lot of cap space to work with, none of us think Ken Holland will overly busy but that doesn’t mean he’s going to be sitting on his hands. Changing gears, we looked at what’s going on with the Calgary Flames and how the team has been put in a tricky situation as a handful of players have said that they don’t want to re-sign. Getting back to the Oilers, we looked at the Connor Brown rumours that have been popping up and whether or not bringing him to town is as much of a foregone conclusion as the rumours would have us believe. We also touched on our former friend, Zack Kassian, getting bought out in Arizona after what was a dreadful year with the Coyotes and whether we think he’ll be able to bounce back. Lastly, we wrapped up the podcast with another edition of Kennedy’s “who said it” game, Ask the Idiots, and Hot and Cold Performers before wrapping things up and heading off into the sunset.
