The first road trip of the season is in the books, the Oilers are rolling, and that means we had plenty to talk about on the brand new Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio. On today’s show, we’re talkin’ about the event we threw in Calgary, beating the Flames in their own barn, tonight’s matchup against the Predators, and a whole lot more.
To kick off this week’s podcast, we got this week’s show we got started with a chat about Ryan Nugent-Hopkins’ hot start and where we think he will end up when all is said and done. Seeing as the guy has had a red-hot start to the season, we wanted to spend a little bit of time on what he’s doing right that’s led to his success. Changing gears, we looked at the Oilers wrapping up the month of October with a 6-3-0 record, and how the team that finished the month didn’t look much like the one that started it. Looking ahead at the Oilers’ first meeting against the Predators, we were all feeling bullish in terms of the Oilers’ ability to beat Nashville but that the boys need to play their game if they want to make it happen. Lastly, we wrapped up the podcast with a conversation about Philip Broberg potentially replacing Dylan Holloway in the lineup as the latter hasn’t quite had the start we all would have hoped.
