Oilersnation Radio: Should Ken Holland move the first round pick ahead of the trade deadline?

It’s Friday afternoon and that means there’s a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio set and ready for your ear holes. This week, we’re talking about the Oilers’ games from this week, the trade deadline, Jesse Puljujarvi, and a whole lot more.

To kick off the Friday episode of Oilersnation Radio, we got started with a look ahead at the trade deadline and specifically how we would feel if Ken Holland doesn’t spend his first round pick. While the GM has said on many occasions that he’s open to trading the pick, what he can’t do is move that move for anything less than an impactful player. Looking back on the week that was, we broke down the two games the Oilers played against the Red Wings and Flyers respectively, and how those two games were both exciting and frustrating at the same time. While we were all happy to collect three of four points, there were undoubtedly a handful of moments where the Oilers absolutely needed to be better. Changing gears, we looked at the neverending Jesse Puljujarvi situation as he has been a healthy scratch against the Wings and Flyers. Diving back into the rumour mill, we spent the next few minutes talking about Jesse Puljujarvi’s future with the club and whether we’re in the final days of his tenure here.
