A Thursday afternoon report suggests that a 14-day quarantine period may be skirted for NHL players coming to play in Canada.
According to TSN’s Ryan Rishaug, conversations between the province of Alberta, the federal government, and the Oilers Entertainment Group have been ongoing surrounding that period.
Current regulations require any traveller arriving in Alberta to embark on a mandatory 14-day quarantine period to see if signs of COVID-19 are exhibited.
Edmonton is being pitched as a city for the NHL to play as a hub city. Mayor Don Iveson threw his support behind the bid earlier this week and on Thursday, reports surfaced the city would be putting together entertainment options for the clubs that may come to town.
