UPDATE: The Oilers have officially placed Mike Smith on the injured reserve and have recalled goaltender Stuart Skinner from the AHL.
Skinner has appeared in two games for the Condors this year winning both while positing a .946 save percentage and allowing just three goals.

Tough news for the Edmonton Oilers as goaltender Mike Smith will reportedly be placed on the injured reserve.
As first reported by TSN 1260’s Tom Gazzola, Smith is also to miss “at least a week.”
Smith, 39, left the game Tuesday night against the Anaheim Ducks after teammate Devin Shore appeared to fall into him. After the game, head coach Dave Tippett said Smith tweaked something in his lower-body.
Starting all three of the Oilers’ games this year, Smith has posted a .920 save percentage and a 3.08 GAA.
