Risky Business: Betting the Battle

Risky Business is brought to you by NHL Lines site Betway!
After losing a bunch of money on the first Battle of Alberta because I was way too excited, my approach for tonight’s game will still be bullish but ultimately more conservative. In my heart of hearts, I still believe the Oilers will win the hockey game, but I don’t know that I’ll be tripling down on live bets and props as I did in round one. Even so, I’m no quitter and I still believe in our boys, and I’ll be putting my money where my mouth is to try and manifest a win.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Flames:

Player Prop:

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 2.5 shots at +120. My $5 bet would return $11.

Easy Money:

First period, both teams to score at + 120. My $5 bet would return $11.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +400. My $5 bet would return $25.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Tampa Bay over San Jose on the ML, Colorado over NYI on the ML, and Carolina over Philly on the ML at 3.96. My $5 bet would return $21.02.

RISKY BUSINESS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Last Game:

Despite Thursday’s game being one of the weirdest ones that I’ve ever watched, I actually made out really nicely with the bets I put down ahead of the game and during the game. Outside of my Can’t Miss Parlay, everything else hit for me and that’s always a great feeling when you see a bunch of green checkmarks in your betting account.
  • Leon Draisaitl to go over 1.5 points at +100. ✅
  • First period over 1.5 goals at -154. ✅
  • Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both score 1+ goal at +300. ✅
  • Live bet the comeback at +160 ✅
  • Boston over Detroit on the Moneyline, Florida over Philly on the Moneyline, and Toronto over San Jose on the Moneyline at 3.09.
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Flames.
