Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
It goes without saying that any matchup against the Colorado Avalanche is going to be a difficult one, but if ever there was a time that they could be vulnerable, it would be in the second half of a back-to-back set. Now, we know that any advantage in this situation would still be relatively minor, but I’m hoping that the Oilers will be able to find a way to flex on an opponent with some potentially tired legs. That said, my bets for today’s game will be pretty conservative since I don’t expect even a tired Colorado club to be anything less than a major challenge.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Avalanche:

Player Prop:

Evander Kane over 3.5 shots on goal at +115. My $5 bet would return $10.75.

Easy Money:

Under 66.5 total shots on goal. My $5 bet would return $9.50.

Risky Business:

Oilers money line and over 5.5 total goals at +180. My $5 bet would return $14.00.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Toronto over Chicago on the money line, Ottawa over St. Louis on the money line, and Minnesota over Nashville on the money line at 3.30. My $5 bet would return $16.53.

Last Game

From the final score to my horrible round of betting, Friday’s game against the Rangers was a disaster and it hurts.
  • Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 2.5 shots at +100.
  • Total shots on goal over 64.5 at +105. ✅
  • Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Mika Zibanejad both to register 3+ shots at +225.
  • Ottawa over Chicago on the money line and LA over Anaheim on the money line at 1.96.
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Avalanche.
